Aegis is a Japanese movie directed by Junji Sakamoto and based on a novel by Harutoshi Fukui.
An Aegis class military vessel is hijacked by a disgruntled commanding officer named Miyatsu who is collaborating with an enemy spy and his terrorist group. The terrorists then force the crew overboard and aim the ship’s powerful prototype weaponry toward Tokyo.
Only one man has a shot at stopping them: a non-commissioned officer named Sengoku who knows every inch of the ship by heart. With this knowledge, he sneaks back on-board, determined to do whatever it takes to stop the destruction of Tokyo.
