It’s Me, It’s Me (2013)
It’s Me, It’s Me is a 2013 Japanese movie written and directed by Satoshi Miki and based on a 2011 novel by Tomoyuki Hoshino. It premiered at the Udine Far East Film on April 19, 2013 and took home the festival’s Audience Award.
The film stars Kazuya Kamenashi of KAT-TUN, who portrays over 20 different versions of the story's main character character.
A man becomes bored with his mundane life, so he tries out “ore ore sagi” (it’s me, it’s me fraud), a petty phone identity scam common in Japan where the scammer pretends to be someone the victim knows in order to pressure them to send money.
However, the story takes a surreal turn when he begins meeting multiple copies of himself with completely different characteristics.
