The official website for Daigo Matsui’s upcoming live-action adaptation of Daily Lives of High School Boys (Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou) has been updated with a trailer.

Based on a manga by Yasunobu Yamauchi, the film revolves around a school festival being organized in a collaboration between Tadakuni’s (Masaki Suda) all-boys school and a nearby all-girls school. Like in the original manga, the boys are clueless about how to deal with girls and wind up putting their stupidity on display in various humorous ways.

Shuhei Nomura and Ryo Yoshizawa play Tadakuni’s high school classmates Yoshitake and Hidenori. Louis Kurihara plays an original character named Saino.

The main female students are played by Anri Okamoto, Mizuki Yamamoto, and Mio Uema. Additional co-stars include Kumiko Shiratori, Sara Takatsuki, Yui Koike, and Eita Okuno.

“Daily Lives of High School Boys” will be released in Japan on October 12, 2013.
