Plot

Misa, a television celebrity and Light devotee, receives her own Death Note after a God of Death rescues her from a stalker. Continuing Kira’s work, she immediately begins using it to execute people. She even trades half her remaining life for “Shinigami Eyes”—the ability to see people’s names simply by looking at their face and thus be able to kill them with the Death Note.

When Light Yagami learns of this, he decides to exploit her for his own purposes and resume his activities as Kira. However, with L slowly closing in on them, Misa becomes a liability.
