Second-year high school girl Minami Kawashima is appointed manager of her baseball team in place of her sick friend.

Unsure of how to handle her new responsiblity, she decides to find a baseball book to guide her. Instead, she mistakenly picks up Peter Drucker’s business management-themed book “Management: tasks, responsibilities, practices”. Although the book isn’t specifically about baseball, Kawashima takes Drucker’s management philosophies to heart, carefully utilizing them in an attempt to transform her players from a group of unmotivated underachievers into a real team with a legitimate chance to reach the annual championship tournament at Koshien Stadium.
