Fly, Dakota, Fly! (2013)

Fly, Dakota, Fly! is a 2013 Japanese movie directed by Seiji Aburatani.

The film was originally slated for release in September 2012 but has been delayed to 2013 in order to film a few additional scenes over the winter.

According to a blog post by actress Manami Higa, filming finally resumed on Sado Island in late January 2013.

Plot

In January of 1946, a British military plane was forced to make an emergency landing on Sado Island. Due to propaganda from the war, the local residents are extremely wary of British military personnel. However, their spirit of compassion eventually takes over as an innkeeper’s daughter named Chiyoko takes five of the men in as guests and attempts to make them feel at home. Based on a true story.
