Today six new supporting cast members were revealed for the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Ayu Watanabe’s popular shojo manga L♥DK .
Joining the previously announced leads Ayame Gouriki and Kento Yamazaki are Akiyoshi Nakao, Rei Okamoto, Seiji Fukushi, Renn Kiriyama, Anna Ishibashi, and Miho Shiraishi.
The film revolves around a high school girl named Aoi Nishimori (Goriki) who winds up living on her own for the first time during high school after refusing to move away with her parents. However, a certain event forces Aoi to begin secretly living together with Shusei Kugayama (Yamazaki), the most popular boy in school.
Nakao will play an original character named Ryosuke Sato, a senior high school student and Shusei’s close friend. Although the actor himself is 25 and has been offered more teacher roles than high school students recently, he promised to do his best to play the character without any awkwardness.
In addition, Okamoto will play Aoi’s best friend Moe Shibuya, Kiriyama will play an older student named Wataru Sanjo who falls for Aoi, Ishibashi will play Shusei’s childhood friend Satsuki Mizuno, Fukushi will play Shusei’s older brother Souju, and Shiraishi will play a single mother named Kazumi Hoshino who is also Aoi and Shusei’s landlord.
L DK will be released nation-wide in Japan in spring 2014.
