Bakushi (2007)
Bakushi is a Japanese documentary by Ryuichi Hiroki. It was screened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in February 2007 and released by Slow Learner in Japan on May 31, 2008.
The movie explores the controversial world of rope bondage and domination, something that has fascinated and titillated Japanese audiences for years. The intricate process of tying women up and suspending them in midair in a way that doesn’t injure them—yet still looks dangerous—is an complex art that is covered throughout the film.
