Chocolate Underground (2009)
Chocolate Underground is a Japanese animated film directed by Takayuki Hamana and based on Alex Shearer’s novel “Bootleg”. It was released by Hexagon Pictures on January 31, 2009.
The film revolves around two young boys who start bootlegging sweets after the “Good For You Party” bans them to promote good health. Together, Huntley and Smudger start up an underground chocolate business and fight against the government’s ban.
