Fried Dragon Fish (1993)
Fried Dragon Fish is a Japanese made-for-television movie written and directed by Shunji Iwai. It aired on Fuji TV in Japan on March 22, 1993 and was later released theatrically alongside Iwai’s film PiCNiC in 1996.
In the movie, a woman named Poo (Miyoko Yoshimoto) begins investigating the disappearance of a rare red dragon fish. Her search eventually leads her to a fish collector named Natsuro (Tadanobu Asano) and although she feels attracted to him, she also discovers he has a violent side.
