Tomie: Beginning (2005)

Tomie: Beginning is a Japanese horror original directed by Ataru Oikawa and based on the very first Tomie manga by Junji Ito. It was released in Japan on April 9, 2005, a few days before the release of Tomie: Revenge.

Being based on the first manga, this movie is a prequel to the other films. Rio Matsumoto plays Tomie as she transfers to a new high school and the male students become infatuated with her almost immediately. However, their love is soon replaced by jealousy and rage, starting an endless cycle that will repeat wherever she goes.
