Plot

Shizuto continuously roams between places where people have died in order to mourn for them, in spite of having had no connection to them while they were alive.

While traveling, Shizuto catches the attention of a mother diagnosed with terminal cancer, a cynical weekly magazine reporter, and a woman named Yukiyo who served several years in prison for murdering her husband. Burdened with tremendous guilt, she returns to the place where it all happened and finds Shizuto mourning for her husband. Afterward, she begins following him on his journey.
