Plot

High school girl Sawako Kuronuma is misjudged due to her looks. Bearing a resemblance to the vengeful ghost Sadako from Ring because of her shy demeanor and long black hair, people tend to think she’s scary, weird, or depressed. However, she’s actually a very kind and sensitive girl with a positive outlook.

Sawako has always admired a friendly, popular boy named Shota Kazehaya, so she’s overjoyed when he actually takes notice of her and remembers her name. The pair become friends and it seems as though they may be destined for romance.

Over time, Sawako opens up and becomes more sociable, striking up a friendship with Chizuru and Ayane. However, a girl named Kurumi soon confesses her love for Kazehaya before he and Sawako have a chance to share their true feelings for one another…
