Kiki's Delivery Service is a 2014 live-action Japanese movie directed by Takashi Shimizu and based on Eiko Kadono's novel series “Kiki's Delivery Service" with a script by Satoko Okudera. The movie is unrelated to the previous 1989 animated film adaptation by Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli.

Plot

Following a long-held tradition among witches, Kiki must leave her family home and live on her own for one year as a rite of passage. Utilizing her ability to fly on a broom, she starts a delivery service out of a local bakery to earn a living and experiences growth through her experiences.
