Plot
In 1944, as the Pacific War is close to ending, Imperial Japanese Army Captain Sakae Oba teams up with commando Horiuchi and utilizes guerrilla tactics to hold off invading US forces on Saipan numbering over 45,000.
With only 47 infantry troops left at his command, Oba manages to confound enemy forces for far longer than should be possible.
