Plot

After an infant is murdered in a wooded valley, the baby’s mother, Satomi Tachibana, is arrested for the crime and it’s soon revealed that she had an affair with her neighbor, Shunsuke Ozaki. This fact is discovered through the testimony of Ozaki’s common-law wife, Kanako.

Watanabe, a reporter for a weekly magazine, begins investigating the people involved and discovers that not only was Ozaki involved in a rape case 15 years earlier, but the victim was Kanako. Soon, the truth of their long-time relationship is slowly revealed.
