History
“Teke-Teke” is an urban legend about a woman who was chopped in half in a train accident, but due to the cold Hokkaido weather it took several agonizing minutes to die. Her ghost is called “Teke-Teke” because that’s the sound it makes as it scampers across the ground on its hands. According to the legend, anyone who becomes aware of the ghost will be sliced in half within 3 days.
